[FFXI] The New Skillchain Chart

I have been getting numerous requests for an update of my previous skillchain chart with post 75 content...
Sorry I took so long, but I'd been putting it off till 99 so that I can do everything in one shot.

All the new info didn't fit in the old format so I tried something slightly bigger (1920x1080). It's now HD lol.

I have included a PDF version of this (in the best size I could find).

New Skillchain Chart 1.0 [ pdf ]

As there is a lot of new info (and I did this in 1 day), it is prone to having errors, so please do point any mistakes out so that I can work out any errata into the next version.

Depending on demand, after that is done I may also make a "lite" white background printer-friendly version.

credits:
the presentation of skillchains is based on Adennak's original version.
info on weapon skill element priorities mainly taken from ffxiclopedia and in some cases bgwiki.

[FFXI] Voidwatch - Part IV : Tavnazia & Aht Urhgan

The 27th Mar 2012 version update introduced Part IV of the Voidwatch system.

Ver. 0.x PRELIMINARY VERSION.
As none of the content from Part IV was made available on the Test Server beforehand, any and all information currently featured in this chart are based on conjecture and assumptions made after looking at the data mines.

Ver. 0.1
Some info has been put in. CoP maps are in. Many drops listed. Almost everything based on conjecture turned out to be accurate.

Ver 0.2
added some info, edited some drop pools. ToA maps coming soon sorry.

Ver 0.3
all maps up. sorry for the delay. More drops in. Some drop updates and layout touches coming up. brief atmacite details to be added.

[FFXI] Voidwatch - Part III : Jeuno II

The 14th December 2011 update introduced Part III of the Voidwatch system.

View Part I and Part II of the Voidwatch system.

There is only one main path, which is a continuation of the Jeuno path set out in part II, which is why it starts off at Tier 4.

At Tier 6, there are 5 NMs instead of 3.

v0.1 - first draft. let me know if there are mistakes. will do up the exp/cruor and how to obtain later, along with atmacite list and periapt effects. maps added / drops updated.
this is just a version for people to work with until i can get more stuff done.
v0.2 - much fuller version. all drops in. quest details, atma and periapt added.
v1.0 - everything else added. may be final version.

[FFXI] Voidwatch - Part II : Jeuno and Zilart areas

The 20th Sept 2011 update introduced Part II of the Voidwatch system.

Click here to view Part I of the Voidwatch system.

It is split into two different paths, the Jeuno path, which requires completion of Part I of the system, and the Zilart path, which does not require anything.

Preliminary charts were only made possible this early on in the update due to the presence of the Test Server. With that, I was able to find out relevant information about the 2 systems even before they went live here.
But as a disclaimer, any changes made between test server version and the current have not been made known or highlighted so until then the information is taken to be accurate.

v0.1 : map for Quicksand Caves coming soon. I just got my Loadstone so I can scout without a Galka.
v0.2 : all maps added. more drops listed.
v0.3 : more drops added.
v0.8 (Zilart) : only minor errata and clarification left to be made.
v0.9 (Zilart) : added details on quest progress
v1.0 (Jeuno) : no further updates are likely to be made.
v1.0 (Zilart) : rearranged sections.
v1.1 (Jeuno) : clarifying and making changes for quest progress.
v1.1 (Zilart) : error with Gushing Spring, pointed out by Trigun. thx.
v1.2 : Likely the final version

[FFXI] Voidwatch - Part I : The 3 Nations

Voidwatch is a new battlefield system introduced in Final Fantasy XI.
It takes battle concepts used in Abyssea and Voidwalkers and places them in individual battlefields out in open zones.

The above chart is an overview of part I of this battle system. All drops have been accounted for.

v1.0: For future-proofing purposes, I have decided not to include overall spectral alignment caps that factor in periapts. Also, a weakness-targeting section is added - most info extracted from BGwiki, kudos to them.
v1.1 corrected info about staggering.
v1.2 added EX weakness, fixed typo
v1.3 changed format a bit. changed atmacite for Celaeno in accordance with VU. Likely the final version.

For list of weaknesses, I recommend Slycer's spreadsheet found here.

[FFXI] Abyssea - Uleguerand

Here it is, the 3rd and final map for Heroes of Abyssea.
And with it, I've completed maps for all 9 Abyssea zones, pending updates/error fixes - and I'll need to adjust these Mac made maps with a bunch of templates that have been used for the first 6 maps before they'll be "officially" complete.

Since I've gotten my laptop back, the map is no longer in 'temp' version.
Pop locations for Isgebind / Apademak might be slightly off since I guesstimated those from info, other than that it should be fairly accurate.

Putting these maps together really took a whole lot more out of me than any other chart I've ever done for FFXI, and to think there were 9 of them. Right now I can finally say its all over, and I'm happy to say that the effort put into it shows.

But it wouldn't have happened without everyone's support and encouragement. I'm most thankful to anyone and everyone who helped me out by providing information, pointing out errors, suggesting ideas to incorporate into the maps and sharing my map with others.
Thank you.

Here's hoping I can contribute more to the FFXI community in the years to come.

Hope you find this map useful.

[FFXI] Abyssea - Grauberg

Here's the 2nd map I've done for Heroes of Abyssea.
I'm leaving the headache that is Uleguerand for the last.

Grauberg is a fairly nice zone to do. Progress is pretty good too. Only a handful of NMs left to work out.

I've introduced a few new changes here that will eventually find themselves in all the older maps (once I can get my hands on the originals again, in my faulty laptop) - the one I like most being the unavailable 'lights' from each mob. This is based entirely on what I can get from forums and wiki, so if no one mentions anything I'll probably miss it out.

Since I've gotten my laptop back, the map is no longer in 'temp' version.
Enjoy and point out errors for me please.

12 December 2010

[FFXI] Abyssea - Altepa

This is my first map for Heroes of Abyssea.

Doing this map was extremely tedious as my laptop died on me and the usual resources and template I work with were all trapped in there, so I decided to start from scratch on my Mac. And I think it looks pretty good so far, considering the circumstances.

Since I've gotten my laptop back, the map is no longer in 'temp' version.
Pop locations for Shaula / Rani / Emperador might be slightly off since I guesstimated those from info, other than that it should be fairly accurate.

Hope this helps paint a clearer picture of Abyssea - Altepa and the Dominion structure.
